Darren gave a small shrug as he started to walk with them, taking the end position as he let everyone else lead. If he didn't he'd likely wander away and get lost. That was how he was. "Tutorials aren't my thing. I like the hands on experience..."

As they moved, he looked around to see the people nearby. Those that were using Magic seemed to be ganging up on other users around them. It was almost saddening to see. They didn't have a chance in group fights like that. "Poor guys... Too bad the tough guys can do what they want. Let's hope they don't wanna play target practice with a wolf or an elf."

(God I hate you Julie XD)

"And so what if they do?"

Talon was less than impressed. Was it his confidence? Was it his ability, or was it the fact that publicly shaking in his boots would attract the attention of the mystic thugs? Either way, he kept his eyes straight and his pace consistently quickening, hoping to break out of sight before anything bad happened. The sniper didn't as much turn his head to see the commotion, keeping his almost statuesque appearance.

Esk just ran a hand through his hair before shaking his head lightly, seemingly unaffected by her words even though he definitely did indeed know more than he was letting on. Several seconds ticked by while his violet eyes stared directly into her own past the casting of long, uncut hair until the silence itself became almost awkward in nature. Then, he shrugged. He made another gesture for her to follow along and went on into another walking motion down the pathway towards a rather strange market stall with patterns covering the wood it was made of from head to toe. Even the trader who owned it held the same black tattoos covering her features all over and even circling around her lips. Not that the lad paid much attention to it as he pointed at a item upon a shelf. Obviously the saleswoman required little discussion and moved to get the object, even as he spoke to the trailing tomboy behind him,

"Friend, huh? They never had many friends."

It was hard to miss how he was discussing this mysterious person the girl was seeking. He did indeed know them a lot more than she did, or at the very least had a good idea where said target might be. His voice even expressed a touch of dry coldness for a moment. Suddenly the swordsman glanced over his shoulder at her and flashed her a lazy look with a yawn - the kind of look one would give bugging homework. A limb softly lifted and a palm inched towards her, only to lightly poke her forehead with a single teasing digit. Though he appeared a bit put off, his parting lips assured her that she was going to get a answer. Even if it wasn't the one she wanted or really needed to comfort her. "Knowing him, he's going to attempt something stupid. Perhaps he is in the Greater Lands." Ah. So he really did know her goal. Esk had not once expressed even the gender of this person until now and was even providing valuble information to go along with it. What luck!

Or not. He openly noticed a confused hint in her eyes before he even finished. "Don't bother. You are too low a level to even last five seconds in that part of the map. That territory comes with all sorts of fancy names and crap, but the simple folk call em' the Greater Lands for a reason. It's basically a number of towns, plains and monsters like this place, only for veterans." He paused and moved, snatching up the thing being handed out by the storekeeper. An exchange of gold and the scroll of paper in his grip was now his to keep. He silently slotted it into a small side-pocket, only to continue with a shift of his form, "It's just a thought, 'course. Troublesome guy isn't very well-known. You want to find him? Well..." Esk trailed off on that sentence and casually walked past her after uttering that, sword sheathed and brand new items put away. His coin-pouch looked a lot lighter.

Considering he was walking away and not looking back at her?

Yeah. Bad options were bad.

The girl paused and blinked when he poked her forehead, then frowned when he tried to leave again. "Stop running away from me, wouldja?" Princey told the man exasperatedly, grabbing both his shoulders this time and spinning him around. She held him in place. Then what she'd been told registered in her mind and a massive smile appeared on her face. "Ah ha! So you do know him!" She still couldn't believe her luck, even if it came in the form of a strange cryptic lady-man.

Well, everyone had their own life choices.

"Which way are the Greater Lands? How high a...level do I have to be to go there? Do you have any idea where in them he is? What do you think he's gonna do? And he's never really had that many friends? What more do you know?" Princey was quite obviously enthusiastic to know, though also clearly a bit worried. What if he didn't want to be friends with her? She had no real idea what they were like...or how to make friends with them in the first place. She was kinda horrible at that.

But she'd cross that bridge when she came to it.

"Why pick on the abnormal when there's a weak little newbie human to fight? They enjoy picking on the weak looking ones after all." She mutters under her breath as her ear twitches from Darren's words. "Either way, that's not important. If we don't hurry up, their attention might be aimed at us this time. Better we find a quest now than wait and see what happens." Her eyes gazed down teh streets before noticing a familiar billboard.

"Over there. That should be the quest board right there. Since you're the one whose so eager for a quest, why don't you pick one? Just....make sure you're looking at the level difficulty...."

Darren heard her comment, giving a bit of a grin. He didn't care about being strong or being the best. He was more of the type to want to do the best he can with what he had and push that. Even at that, he was almost never a target. Flashy characters were usually the ones people went for and Darren wasn't very flashy... At least not before he started fighting.

He looked at the board. His screen changed displaying all of the available missions. Some were user submitted, or more to say they could be. This game was so new that no one made missions, but the idea that they could was usually something reserved for Guild initiation if used at all. He was there was a Hunter category, missions dedicated to locating a strong monster and defeating it, battling minion monsters along the way. He selected it, choosing the first one that was on the list. Just like that, they were all transported into a castle.

It was a large, brown castle, almost uninteresting. It almost seemed like a Damsel in Distress mission at first. Then the screen flashed with the objective: Defeat the Vicious High Goblin!

"Fuckin' Castles.........."

Talon had been scoping the area since the moment they arrived, knowing it was going to be all about the kill. If anyone was fit to kill anything, it would be the team of the loud mouth elf and the silent sniper. Sadly, castles tended to eliminate most of the higher ground and long range that their style favored. This was going to be a royal pain in the ass......no pun intended.

Ghost simply looked up as the words flashed before his eyes, not reacting in a positive or a negative way. The stoic sniper simply brought his head back down, awaiting for the party to continue on. All he had to do was pull the trigger. He didn't care about anything else.
