"Erm..." Nanako looked lost as she arched her head to one-side while looking up at the older girl. Her bright eyes blinked in confusion at the question. She finally shook her head, not totally sure. Which wasn't exactly unexpected for a girl her age. She was about to speak when she noticed something peeking out of the fridge. It was a sealed package and on the front of it was "from Dad" on it. One could detect a faint smell of food and flavour from the lid. Her curiosity got the best of her and she leaned past the older girl, taking hold of the container before popping it open. Her eyes lit up the second she saw what was inside.

It was a full-blown lunch. Filled with treats and various food groupings. It looked to have been cooked awhile ago, but still very much edible. Nanako looked at it with faint longing before she gasped and paused. Slowly she raised it up to the older girl and continued. "Ah.." her voice light, "...this has your name on it. I guess you should eat this..?" From the tone of her voice she had a touch of disappointment. Only she tapped the floor with the tip of her foot and put her hands behind her back, tapping her lips. "Can we...share it?"

She sounded almost worried.

Of course, Dojima had probably made the lunch with the intentions of them sharing it anyway. Considering the sheer amount of it.

It made more sense because of the distinct lack of ingredients. Probably a 'welcome home' meal before the older man went grocery shopping.

(OOC / Day 2 will start when Haruka has finished up. This is how it'll work for each day. Everyone that has finished will be on wait till then)

Haruka was slightly puzzled with her cousin's confusion at allergies. To her it was something that should be common knowledge, even to one Nanako's age. She remembered, very vividly, hugging her father once after she had played with a stray cat on the way home from school. His eyes had started watering almost immediately and his throat had closed up quickly after that; it had been a very scary experience for young Haruka, even younger than Nanako at the time. Her mother had pulled her aside after the danger was over and explained very seriously that her father was allergic to cats, and that she must never touch her father after touching a cat. It wasn't a lesson she ever could have forgotten. Did that just mean that neither her cousin nor her uncle had any allergies? Or was Nanako's father just that good at keeping them both away from things they were allergic to in the first place? Either way she'd have to ask the man about it later. An allergic reaction was not something she was willing to risk.

She pushed the thoughts aside to focus on Nanako, resisting the urge to laugh again at the girl's shyness. It was just so cute. "Yes, let's share! I'm glad you asked, there's no way I could eat the whole thing by myself." Even if it hadn't been a meal clearly made for more than one person, the statement probably would have still held true. Haruka ate like a bird. "I'll clear the the table while you get plates and napkins and stuff? It's probably gonna take me a bit before I learn where everything is in your house."

And so it began. It didn't take long for them to set up.

"Let's eat!"

Nanako seemed to lose all sense of shyness as she began to dig into the grub cooked. It was surprisingly good and well-prepared, if a little dry. Her chopsticks clicky-clacking as she enjoyed herself. The sound of rain gently hitting the windows outside was only drowned out by the sound of the TV, which the little girl seemed to pay very little attention to until there was a jingle sound. She suddenly stopped and her eyes practicclly gained stars as the TV continued.

"At Junes, every day is Customer Appreciation Day. Come see for yourself, and get in touch with our products!
Every day's great at your Junes~~~
!"

The small girl suddenly joined in, her hands moving with the little song.

"Every day's great at your Juuu-nes~!"

She stopped, glancing at her,

"…erm....aren't you going to eat? Dad said he wouldn't be long."

It wasn't late. Probably not her bedtime, but it was late enough and Haruka had school tomorrow. Poor Nanako was a little worried about the fact she still looked a little....out of it.

"Ah, sorry." Haruka replied, blinking out of her temporary space out. She stuck a piece of food in her mouth, chewed, and swallowed. Yum. "Got a bit lost in thought there for a minute, I guess."

Or lack of thought, rather. Haruka was starting to get concerned. Sudden unwarranted dizzy spells, zoning out, hearing things...it was all very unlike her. Was something wrong? Was she getting sick? Could it really be that this whole arrangement had thrown her more than she'd thought? Whatever it was, Haruka wanted it to stop. There was more than enough on her plate without having to deal with these shenanigans.

Speaking of plate, she ought to go to bed soon, but she still had about half her plate left to finish. She'd ask Nanako to show her where she'd be sleeping when she was done and had cleaned up. No harm in chatting until then, though. "By the way, you've got a really cute singing voice, Nanako. But what's that store you sang about? Junes? You seem to like it an awful lot. Is it nice?"

She poked at her food for a moment before stopping herself and eating a bit more. Manners were important, and so was setting a good example.

"Mmmhm!"

Nanako cheerfully nodded as she ceased eating for the moment. She seemed downright bubbly at the thought of Junes. While to many it was just a shopping mall, to the little girl is was one of the most enjoyable experiences she has had in the sleepy town. A large store with everything that can cater to a household in Inaba. Large food court, a park, and even a mini-arcade deep inside. All complete with a cheerful jingle that welcomed the little girl every time she stepped inside. Toys, TV's, books, video games, food, everything that she could dream of. It was no surprise really.

"It's great! Dad takes me whenever he can! He just says that..."

She trailed off and tapped her cheek. As if once again trying to come up with the correct selection of towards.

"He says that other adults don't....erm...like it very much. It's not good for for the community."

Nanako didn't appear to even understand what that meant. Nor did she seemed to actually care. From the way she spoke about Junes it sounded as if nothing could ruin such a place for her.

"I think they're wrong. Every day's great at your Junes!~"

The girl went right back to singing, a beaming smile on her face before she continued to eat.

The clock silently ticked on the wall as time continued to pass. Her plate clean in seconds.

Well, that didn't give her too much information, though it was probably for the best. It gave Haruka reason to explore and learn for herself about the town and community. Her curiosity would have to be sated at a later time.

Speaking of time, it was time for bed, wasn't it?

Haruka had managed to finished everything on her plate while thinking about tomorrow and what it would bring. It was a surprise, but a pleasant one. It would have been especially rude not to finish her food of the first meal. Maybe Chou wouldn't yell at her, too...oh, she needed to call her before bed, didn't she? But first things first.

She stood, picking up her plate and utensils, holding a hand out to take her cousin's, too. "Here, I'll wash the dishes, Nanako. Think you can show me my room afterwards? It's time for me to go to bed."

DAY END

04/12 TUES
...a....dream?

They are alone.

There is nothing but a thick fog around them and a uneasy sensation of wanting, creeping peace. They couldn't see anything but the floor beneath their feet. Red. Each step they took could only go forward. There was no way back. Nothing breathed. Nothing could be heard. Nothing could be felt. It was but a dream. Yet, it persisted. A hollow abyss of emptinesses. It did not welcome them. It did not turn them away. They could feel their body move forward. No control. A puppet on strings. Step, step, step. Slowly they moved down the red, brick-like path beneath the fog. It seemed endless. No walls.

"Do you seek the truth...?"

They were forced to stop. The strings snapped. They now had full control over their bodies. However, nothing felt natural. It was sluggish. Movement handed to them. A male voice. A female voice. Ears could not tell. Their minds could not comprehend. It was just words. A question of overwhelming superiority. Sickness washed over them and the fog hissed along their skin. Never closer, never parting. The question was not asked again. Instead, another followed. Emotionless, yet curious.

"If it's truth you desire, come and find me…"

A single path lay before them. Closer and closer they felt themselves once again being moved forward by something unatrual. Something that spoke to their very hearts. Will. It was only until they stood at a large, strange door that they once again regained control. The presence around them dissipated. Leaving them a puppet no longer. The uneasy silence continued. Dream. Dreaming. Dreamless. Everything felt heavy. Memories, thoughts, and even words.

Yet, they could move. The strings didn't just snap.

They vanished.

A puppet no longer.

They could feel a weapon in their hands. A chosen, close-hearted weapon.

Open the door?

Darren opened his eyes to see a thick fog around him. There was nothing but fog, nothing at all. For a dream it was awfully boring. He wanted to say something, but his body began to move. His body was moving forward without his wishes for it. It was annoying, but he was also becoming curious. If he was meant to go somewhere, better to see where it leads than to fight against it.

That was when he heard a voice. Seeking truth? He didn't even know what that meant, but the fact that he asked this question to himself meant he wanted an answer. All the reason to keep moving. However, now it was difficult. He could barely move his own body. He was never in the best shape in the world to begin with but now it was like his body was double the weight. He knew this wasn't the case but... what kind of dream was this?

That was when he heard the voice again. It was daring him to find this person... this thing and discover this truth. He began to move again. Like before, he had no control. This time he wanted to move. He was fine with this. He stopped in front of... a doorway? That had to be what this was. It was the best description of what it was at least. Weapons appeared in his hands, Tonfas.

He had looked at and studied martial arts but he never had a chance to do anything with it. He had looked into the martial arts and knew something on how to use it, even if he had never done it before. He couldn't help but give a small grin as he moved to the door, placing his hand onto it. "Nothing ventured..." he said lightly, beginning the saying as he opened the door and walked in.

Xateramusa opened her eyes and looked around seeing nothing but fog and frowned. She began to walk feeling the pull to find a sign of were she was but it was all for not. She let out a sigh and wondered what she should do.

She then heard a voice ask "Do you seek the truth...?" with that she began to look for who spoke and found no one.

'seek the truth? what dose it mean. very well i will find this voice.' She thought to herself and began to walk the path following where the pull was taking her. She saw the door and felt the pull stop. She then found a weapon that suited her a sword.

She placed it by her side and reached out to the door touching it. "well here gose nothing." She said opening the door and walked in with her guard up.

Haruka did not know where she was.

She really couldn't bring herself to care, either. Not about the strange place she was in, not about being controlled like a marionette, not about everything that had happened earlier that day, not about anything at all. Everything was muted, from her thoughts to the sound of her own breathing. It was as if the fog had descended upon not only her body but her mind, weighing down her eyelids as it took her to that half-place between waking and dreaming.

But she was already dreaming, wasn't she...?

It hardly occurred to her that she was moving, being pulled along by a power that was not her own. Only two things cut through the haze, the two things said by that mysterious voice. Even then, she didn't understand. Truth? Find me? It made no sense. The truth of what? Who was she supposed to find? It made no sense at all.

Haruka finally returned to herself at the foot of the doorway. She gazed at it, puzzled. It looked nothing like a door, the massive thing in front of her, all red and black and lines, yet she knew as well as she knew her own name that it was a door. She also knew without doubt that there was someone behind it, but she did not know who. Could it be the source of the mysterious voice? Was it truly someone behind the door, or something?

But before she could think how there was only one way to find out, Haruka was holding a bow.

It was hers. It was not hers. She had never seen it before in her life, but it felt so right in her hand, like it had been born there, was meant to be there. Both of the yumi she owned herself were perfectly fine, wonderful in fact, yet there was something about this one that was so much more. Curious yet hardly thinking about the mysterious weapon's origins, Haruka turned her back to the door, nocking the bow and aiming it into the fog as if she had a target to hit and an arrow to shoot - except there was an arrow too, suddenly, between her fingertips, fitting perfectly into the bow, and when she released the string, it flew into the clouds out of sight. If there had been an actual target, Haruka knew beyond the shadow of a doubt that she would have gotten a bullseye.

There were so many questions that Haruka had. Where was she? What had happened? Why was she here? What lay beyond the mysterious door? Who was the voice? What was the truth? Where had the bow and arrow come from? But for every question she had, the answer was the same; she didn't know.

And there was only one way to find out.

Haruka turned around and opened the door.

Cole had never had a dream that was quite so, uhhh, vivid. Every step felt like he was floating, yet simultaneously felt as if he pressed down with the weight of ten tons on his back. He was asleep, he knew it, yet felt exhausted, and was more confused than he had been previously in his life.

That was saying a lot.

The teacher narrowed one eye as he scanned the area, finding nothing but fog. There was something seriously wrong with his subconscious, he thought. Pushing further, he felt his hand clench as if by instinct, and stopped as he felt something in his grasp. He hadn't been carrying anything before. As he looked down at his hand, the sight caused him to step back. What he was carrying, a wooden shaft a good four feet long and covered in metal studs, should have cause his arm to slump to the floor; yet he held it with no force at all.

He also had no idea what it was.

He had seen it somewhere before, more than likely while in Japan, but his name to thing ratio wasn't so great. Still, he eyed the weapon up at down. It was a little brutish for his taste, but....he kind of liked it! Slinging it over his shoulder, Cole looked back up....to find a door.

Where did that come from?

He starred at it for the longest time, trying to work out it's origin and where it exactly would lead him too, but he found nothing. Every answer had seven questions behind it.

But this was his dream, right? What could go wrong?

He opened the door.

Sayuri found herself in the thick fog, walking without any conscious control of her own part. Not like she was very conscious right now, anyways. Even if her body was moving on its own accord without control over it, she wasn't very 'awake' right now.

"Oh....am I dreaming?...." she thought as her body continued to move along the red floor without a care in the world. "I must have fallen asleep at the couch again..." They say if you're aware that you are dreaming, you would have full control of your actions and dream itself....or at least that's what she heard from the Internet. Not really the best thing to go to for stuff like this. It certainly didn't knock her out of her dream like status, not even reacting to the sudden voice.

"I wonder what I should make for lunch tomorrow...?" she mutters softly to herself as Sayuri found her body finally stopping its movements. To be honest, she did find this whole dream sequence as a bit strange. But that was it – just a dream. If she had a penny for every time she even bother questioning her dreams….well….she’d probably have less than a dollar. She'd forget most of her dreams when she woke up even if she knew she had a dream. She wasn’t paying too much attention around her anyways up until she heard the next question, snapping herself a bit more conscious as she blinks.

Again, she found her body moving against her will along the path that suddenly appeared before her until she reached the rather large door that suddenly came into view. Why she couldn’t see a door that massive from a distance was the least of her worries as the purple haired girl suddenly felt an object in her hand. Raising her hand, she held a long, wooden pole. Nothing more. Nothing less. To anyone else, it would just look like a very bland looking stick that would probably snap in two with a simple whack. Just like with the rest of the dream, she didn’t pay it any mind before looking back at the door and putting her free hand on the handle.

With that, Sayuri opens the door.
